Implants are titanium fixtures that are placed within the jaw bone. The bone then integrates with the fixture allowing it to be used as an anchor onto which a crown can be placed or a denture or bridge retained.

The advantage of this form of treatment is that a missing tooth or teeth can be replaced without the need to involve or damage adjacent teeth.

Implants look, feel and function like natural teeth and can help prevent bone loss, maintaining facial features. Implants can now be placed during a short procedure. No longer do people have to tolerate a life without fixed teeth.
