A short procedure for a long-term solution.
Implants are titanium fixtures that are placed within the jaw bone. The bone then integrates with the fixture allowing it to be used as an anchor onto which a crown can be placed or a denture or bridge retained.
The advantage of this form of treatment is that a missing tooth or teeth can be replaced without the need to involve or damage adjacent teeth.
Implants look, feel and function like natural teeth and can help prevent bone loss, maintaining facial features. Implants can now be placed during a short procedure. No longer do people have to tolerate a life without fixed teeth.
At Norfolk House we use Straumann Implants which are recognised as one of the highest quality systems currently available. They boast a success rate of 97% and were first introduced over 40 years ago. Straumann’s own research organisation, the International Treatment Institute, conducts ongoing research to maintain their position for market leaders in implant engineering.
